"The Sidekick" Final - Widow

Finally done...with about three hours to spare. Fairly happy with how it came out.

Widow WIP

Based on some feedback I got from the first WIP, I redesigned the original character so it was more closely related to spider man.

This is about 90% complete, still need to render a few areas out properly (mostly the face, right hand and helicopter in background).

Character of The Week - The Sidekick WIP

"Take a well known super hero who fights alone and create them a helpful (or not possible not so helpful) buddy."

As someone who isn't really into comics this challenge is a bit...challenging. The idea i've come up is a female companion to Spiderman called...Black Widow. (SPIDERS RIGHT?)

Also it has to be presented as a comic book cover.

More anatomy

About an hour and a half, didn't get to finish the hands or the face. Video here

And some minute poses. 1 minute to draw a pose, a lot harder than it sounds.

30 Day Drawing Challenge - Day 30

Day 30 - A congrats banner:

Done.

Spirit Of Winter Final...?

Feel like I've come as far with this as I can. Realistically needed to spend more time putting down the values so stuff doesn't look so flat. Lesson learned.

Spirit Of Winter WIP

Starting to get a bit rushed as the deadline is like 9pm tomorrow.
Also did a random environment sketch:

"Spirit of Winter" Challenge

This is for the Character of the week challenge at conceptart.org, the theme this week is 'Spirit of Winter'. This is one of my early sketches for it, I've done a few different character ideas but this one stuck out to me the most.

Also here is the completed character sheet for 'Red Riding Hood':

Didn't end up liking it. Moving on and learning from the mistakes...

Character WIP

A bigger picture of the character design I'm working on. It's supposed to be Little red riding hood. The actual character design is pretty bland, as I'm treating this as more of a rendering challenge. Can I make it look how I want it to look? At the moment...no.

Character WIP

Character design in progress. This is a close up of the face area I've rendered so far...supposed to be a woman, but she's looking kind of bloke-ish / pouty at the moment.

"On the Prom"

I'm going to cheat and also let this double as Day 29 for the 30 day drawing challenge: "Somewhere you want to go".

Just a quick environment type thing...came out a bit flat, going to try and figure out how to do it 'better'.

30 Day Drawing Challenge - Day 28 - Anything you like

Day 28 - Anything you like:

"Harpy"

Drew this for a 30 Day 'Monster girls' challenge, figured it could double for this as well.

"They dress as weeping angels, to lure the unsuspecting traveler. As one approaches nearer the illusions turn to smoke, and they are seen for what they really are. Soft downy feather turns to rotting flesh - hanging from charred bone. Hands and feet become long black talons, that clack together like snapping jaws. They are the Harpies."

30 Day Drawing Challenge - Day 27 - Someone You Love

Day 27 - Someone you love:

"The Nef"

Unsure about which family member to insult via my illustrative skills, I made a rational decision - pick the youngest and weakest one. That way - if they were displeased without the outcome, I would most definitely be able to defend myself.

Spent a few days just thinking about this one, really giving the challenge a run for it's money...more like 30 weeks at this point.

Note to self - work on portraits.
